Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Services & Engagement
Fixed price, fixed timeline. Every engagement starts with a written scope (deliverables, timeline, price) agreed by email before work begins. Scope is frozen after design approval — extra work is a new estimate, not scope creep.
2. Payment
- Projects: 50% upfront to book, 50% on launch — via Stripe (cards, global) or Razorpay/UPI (India).
- Retainer: $1,000/mo billed monthly in advance, cancel anytime.
- Late payment beyond 7 days may pause work until the balance is cleared.
3. Revisions & Change Control
Landing pages include 1 design revision round; web apps include 3 rounds. Extra revisions are billed at $75/h. Change requests after scope freeze are quoted separately and need written approval before work starts.
4. Intellectual Property Ownership
On final payment, you own the finished deliverable — production code, design assets, and content created for your project. I retain ownership of pre-existing utilities, boilerplate, and know-how, licensed to you as part of the deliverable. Until final payment, all work product remains my property. I may showcase the work in my portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Confidentiality
Both sides keep shared business information confidential — credentials, customer data, pricing, roadmaps — and use it only to deliver the engagement. This does not cover information that is already public or independently developed. Credentials are transferred securely and revoked or rotated at handover.
6. Warranty & Liability Cap
30-day bug warranty after launch: if delivered functionality breaks under normal use, I fix it free. No warranty on third-party plugins, themes, or edits you or others make after handover. To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any engagement is capped at the fees paid for that engagement. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost revenue, data loss from third-party services).
7. Termination
Either party may terminate with written notice. You pay pro-rata for delivered, approved work; any unearned upfront balance is refunded per the refund policy. Retainers cancel at the end of the current billing period. On termination I hand over work completed to date on payment of the pro-rata balance.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before any formal proceedings, both sides will attempt good-faith resolution by email or call within 14 days of a written dispute notice. Failing that, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ludhiana, Punjab, India.
